Hudson loves to read. Lately, his favorite book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" He tells you what each animal is and makes the noise each animal makes. The video quality is bad and taken on my phone, but enjoy.

Moving
Big news going on in our house...
WE ARE MOVING!!!!
Just 2 miles away from where we are now but to an adorable house. I am just beside myself with joy. We need space like crazy and this is the perfect spot.
Oddly enough my 2 favorite things about the new house are no stairs and a window seat. Hudson will have a room devoted to toys (hallelujah), Bailey will have a huge, fenced in backyard, Jonathan gets a big workshop in the back and I get a rocking chair front porch and 2 fireplaces.
I keep waking up in the middle of the night thinking about where to put furniture, what we need to buy eventually and how I am going to disguise the green sink in the master.... total eye sore.
I hope to post pictures soon. I am just waiting for the current residents to move out, that may be awkward to post pictures of their things.
Yay, yay, yay!!!!

Things I love this week
1. Twistbands.
A brilliant stay at home mom invented these because she was tired of rubber bands pulling her hair! They have so many colors and look like bracelets. My pack arrived today and I love them.
2. Amaretto sours. My new favorite way to end the day
3. Skyping everyday with my niece and nephew. It is so fun to see their little faces and watch Hudson talk to them.
4. Slides. Hudson is OBSESSED
5. Reality TV. I cannot get enough of Bachelor Pad.... team Jake or team Vienna? Real Housewives of New Jersey.... Team Teresa or Team Melissa? Big Brother.... Go Jeff and Jordan!!!! Flipping Out..... Jeff Lewis is my best friend.
6. Pumpkin Spice lattes are baaaaaaaaaack at Starbucks!
7. Pinterest.com! I cannot stop pinning. I could just kill cousin Morgan for this addiction.

oh my silly husband
Jonathan's office uses instant messenger because they are too lazy to talk to one another.... just kidding. But seriously, they do use it. He signed me up for it when he started his job a few years ago so we could talk online throughout the day. Today I was telling him how much something I was about to order cost and this was our actual conversation. I could not help but laugh out loud. Oh husbands!
Husband: ouch... ok thats fine. charge it to the debit card
me: where else would i charge it? to my library card?
Husband: will they take that?
me: i doubt it
Bless his heart, I just love him.

Woobs ties the knot
We survived Woobs and Matt's wedding.... well, we are still breathing! You do not realize how old you really are until you party for 48 hours and come home to a 2 year old. My entire body aches and I am beyond tired but we had the best time. Woobs was beyond, beyond, beyond beautiful and it was the sweetest and most gorgeous ceremony. The entire weekend was perfect.
We had a fascinator bridesmaids luncheon. These headbands were so precious and fun.
The rehearsal dinner and after party were a ball!
I literally crawled out of bed to go get my hair done Saturday. It was my 1st hangover in 3 years. And to top it off I actually paid for the ponytail the lady gave me. Oh well, this day was not about me. It was about Woobs and Matt. And how gorgeous is she?
Best friend task...
One with our dear friend Seth at the reception
It was a wonderful weekend. I cannot wait for Woobs to get back from her honeymoon so we can relive every moment. I even got my husband on the dance floor!!!! Now time to recover from all the fun!

Wednesday brain dump
- My Woobie is getting married Saturday!!! There are not enough words to describe my excitement.
- I took Hudson with me to get my eyebrows waxed this morning. That was an experience. He grabbed my hand and said "you hurt?" Sweet boy. After I explained I was fine, he proceeded to drive his new police car from his Grandpa up and down my legs.
- Grocery shopping with Hudson is a workout. He HATES to sit in the cart. I feel like I am on an episode of Super Market Sweep. Did anyone else watch that show? I find myself speed walking up and down the aisles and in full sweat by the time I get to the cashier.
- I usually grocery shop at night or weekends but I have plans tonight and tomorrow night. Jonathan will not be able to handle daddy duty and grocery shopping. Friday and Saturday are packed with wedding festivities and we needed things for this weekend since my mom is so nicely coming in town to babysit.
- The restaurant/bar Jonathan and I both worked in when we met closed down and I find myself sad over it.
- Is anyone watching Bachelor Pad? My old neighbor Graham is on it and he is a h.o.t.t.i.e!
- Hudson's new favorite things to say are " bu bu bu busssted" and to play rock, paper, scissors. He says "cha, two, cha, shoot."
- He also now calls Sissy's name 1,000 times when you put him in his bed to sleep. He is so addicted to her. The other day she somehow got into his room, put her paws up on his crib and was licking him when I walked in.
-I want to say again that my last post was in no way knocking working moms. I have no idea how they balance it all. I mean really, I have a hard enough time getting things done around the house and running errands. Hats off to those who work also.
- I want these shoes so badly. I usually do not feel guilty spending money on clothes but pink $200 suede JCREW heels? Let's be honest, the only time I wear heels is church and these might be a tad too loud. I would not mind if someone dropped them off randomly at our house.
So there is my brain dump. I probably will not check in until next week when all the festivities in. Have a great rest of the week!

The stay at home mom vent
I have proudly been a stay at home mom for over 2 years now. I truly believe it is the hardest and most rewarding job but I am so sick and tired of hearing people talk to me like I lay around all day and do nothing. Or like my "job" is far less important than theirs because they sit at a desk all day.
Jonathan and I both decided when we were pregnant that I would stay home. After looking at childcare options and prices, we agreed there was no point in me going to work if my salary was going to pay for someone else to look after Hudson. Sure I would bring in some extra money but a large chunk would go to someone else watching our baby. But now the comments like, "well someone in this family has to work" or "someone has to carry the load around here" are getting thrown around and it drives me crazy. I cannot imagine the burden he feels being the only breadwinner. Taking care of yourself is hard enough but supporting your entire family is a whole other story. I know that when he says these things he is just venting. I ask him all the time if he wants me to go back to work and he always says he would rather me be home with Hudson.
Sadly the comments are not just from Jonathan. There have been many of times family members will make snide remarks about me not "working." Or compare me to other women who have jobs and children.
I work my tail off everyday. I am the maid, the mommy, the taxi driver, the short order cook, the chef, the baker, the laundry person, the teacher, the organizer, the planner, etc. There are many a days where I do not even have 5 minutes to shower. I cannot remember the last time I used the bathroom without a little boy looking at me. I will spend 20 minutes straightening up only to turn around and see if took 5 seconds to destroy again.
I grew up having a mom who stayed home and I look back and think how important that was. I always had someone teaching me things, at my after school activities and games. She was always able to come to school to volunteer, pick me up and bring me home and be there when I needed her. I am not saying working moms do not have that ability but sometimes work wins scheduling wise.
I want to be there for every aspect of Hudson's life. I have been so lucky to watch him grow and develop the past 2 years. I was here for his 1st word, 1st step, 1st bite of real food, 1st throw up.... I have seen it all.
So no, I do not sit at home all day playing on the computer or laying around watching tv. Yes, I may go to the pool for 3 hours (non of that involves tanning. I have a 2 year old who loves to splash and learn to swim) or I may be in pajamas for an entire day but I am still working.
And I am not bashing moms who work in any way. I have the upmost respect for people who can balance work and family!
It is so easy to judge someone or knock their family situation but until you have walked in their shoes, you really have no way to judge them. People make decisions that they believe are best for their family. Whether it is the mom going to work everyday or staying home. They chose these things because that is what they want to do for their kids and their life. So the next time you want to judge someone, please remember that you are just wasting your time. No one wants to hear you tell someone else how to run their lives.
I need to make a support group for stay at home moms :)

Sideways video
One day I will remember how to hold my phone the right way when I am recording a video of Hudson.
Here he is jamming out with Mr. Eric at story/music time
The best part is when he realized I was filming and walked over to say stop and put his hand in front of the camera. That is when my friend leaned over and said, "Oh my gosh. You are THAT annoying mom who captures every moment." Yes, I proudly am THAT mom!
In the spirit of tax free weekend... I wonder if I can sneak two of these lamps into our bedroom
Birds of Paradise lamps at Horchow.

A day in photos
Too say Hudson is into everything would be an understatement. I think I spend half of my day in the sprinting position because I am always chasing him.
Yesterday while I was straightening my hair, Hudson decided he would venture downstairs. I could hear him at first so I was not too worried. All of a sudden it got very quiet. This is never good. I called his name and he did not answer. So I sprinted downstairs and found this.
He snuck outside to play in his little pool. Half dressed in pajamas and in socks. This was his reaction when I caught him. Isn't it fabulous that he can unlock doors? Ugh!!!
Eating spaghetti is always an adventure. He loves it so much and cannot stuff his face fast enough. He had 4 helpings last night!
