Hudson got a big boy haircut today. I have been putting it off for so long but after seeing Jonathan give him a rat tail the other night, I decided that it was time. I cut his hair this afternoon while he took a bath. I was shocked that his hair had become so long. I was also shocked at what a good job I did. I knew that I would not be able to watch anyone else do it. I would either cry or keep my eyes closed in fear.
Final result....(obviously he was proud of it) He looks like a little boy now, no more baby hair
On a side note.....
I am always pacing the grocery store aisles for easy dinner to fix. I am way, way too picky so finding an entire meal to eat is often hard for me. Our weekly meals consist of some kind of chicken or turkey and 2 vegetables or a salad. I cannot stand to eat red meat which totally stinks for Jonathan. So I am trying to branch out and spice up our plain nightly dinners. I have tried frozen skillet dinners from Wanchai Ferry and a Contessa Micro Steam. The Wanchai was pretty good but it was so spicy that I looked like I had been crying for a week.
While clipping coupons I saw that TGI Fridays had a loaded potato, broccoli, chicken dinner. We decided to try it. (Remember how OCD I am? I make my meal list for the week and then go to the grocery store to get all the ingredients.) So tonight was TGI Friday's dinner. I put it on the plates and I already thought it looked horrible but I did not want to say anything. Jonathan and I took a bite at the same time..... Mine got spit onto the floor after 2 chews --- (horrible, horrible gag reflex that I have. I just cannot swollow disgusting things. I know how rude it is but I promise it is better than me throwing it up at the table) I looked back at Jonathan and he looked like he was eating dog food. Here was my husband who will eat ANYTHING having a hard time swallowing something. Finally after a few more attempts to chew, he spit it out! I have never seen him do that. Promise me that you will never buy this in the store. I would rather eat the plastic bag that it came in. It was beyond horrible. Jonathan does not even think it was chicken.
So what to eat???? We realized that we had to go to Costco for trash bags so we bought a hot dog for Jonathan and a slice of pizza for me from the food court. I gave that food court so much grief, but my friend Jamie convinced us to eat there and the pizza is soooo good. We order it all the time. They also have a great strawberry smoothie. And cheap, cheap, cheap. And do not worry about little man.... he had chicken, strawberries and carrots before we left home.
