Hudson loves his friends so much but it is like he already knows who his cousins are. Of course he knows who they are, I am not wording it correctly. He is drawn to them and loves them so much.
I must have been oblivious to the majority of his birthday party because looking back at pictures, I missed so many things. We were so lucky that so many friends were able to come that I must have been in my own world talking to them and making sure that the wind did not keep knocking over the food.
My sister in law sent me some of the cutest pictures I have ever seen. It looks like Hudson spent all his time with his 3 cousins.
My hope is that they always love each other this much and remain close. I am so lucky to be close to my cousins and know there are plenty of times I could not have survived without their love.

Big birthday week
Hudson had such a fun birthday week. He had 6 celebrations! I am sure today he will wonder why no one is coming to bring him gifts. I have so many pictures but here are some from his big party at the Airport Observation Deck. Hudson had so much fun running around with his cute friends and cousins. I think the airport was a hit. Even the parents like watching the planes take off! We had one tired boy on our hands last night!!!

Birthday BANG!
Hudson was having the best birthday until 4 o'clock. I put a snack and some milk on the coffee table and turned on his favorite cartoon. He will usually sit on the sofa or stand between the sofa and coffee table. Yesterday he decided to put his hands on the coffee table and his feet on the sofa. He was looking at me laughing as his little body was up in the air. Then BOOM! He lost his balance and came crashing down on his left cheek.
I scooped him up so fast and within seconds watched the skin start to rip on his cheek and blood starting coming out. I called Jonathan immediately and yelled "stitches, get home." He said he could tell it was an emergency by my voice and was home within 10 minutes. Hudson had stopped crying pretty fast but was still clinging to me. I called our pediatrician and she had us come in so they could glue it back.
Once we got there she looked at it and said, "Oh no. That needs stitches." Let me state that I do not handle crisis well. I was HYSTERICAL. Hudson was calm as a clam. I was crying, sweating, wanting to get in the fetal position on the floor....
So she called around and found another office that could do his stitches "right away." Did you know "right away" means 3 hours later? At this point Hudson was exhausted, hungry and ready to leave. We were stuck in 1 little room. They put the numbing cream on and that had to sit for 15 minutes. Then they wrapped him up like a sardine (he screamed bloody murder) and cleaned the cut and then stitched him up twice.
It was awful. Beyond awful. He screamed and screamed. I could not look the whole time and just wanted to grab him and hold him. Seeing them pull the skin tight was just torture. Jonathan was our rock and held Hudson down and tried to talk to him. It was very traumatizing.
I have never ripped anything off anyone as fast as I ripped those sheets off him when he was done. And he immediately stopped crying and clung to me. My panic attack set in and I started sobbing, "get me out of here, get me out of here." I could not take anymore. I just wanted to get my baby home.
Bebe saved the day, brought us dinner, wine and cupcakes. We salvaged his birthday and got a few big smiles from him.
Going to bed was pretty hard. He cried on and off all night. Being a crazy mom, I slept in his rocking chair beside his bed all night to make sure he was ok. He woke up with a pretty swollen eye but has played some this morning.
My poor 2 year old. A birthday to always remember.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Hudson!
Happy birthday to my precious boy! Somehow two years have flown by and Hudson is now a running, talking, stubborn, funny and adorable little toddler. Everyday is so much fun and so special. We treasure each and every second with him.
His personality is in full effect now. He loves to tell you what he wants but really loves to say "no." He makes us laugh so hard and is always doing and learning something new.
We are so lucky to be his parents!!! Happy birthday, little monkey!

Oh Friday
My how the week flew past me. I have found myself sitting here to blog on so many occasions but nothing ever comes to mind or a little boy in our house finds himself in trouble. Right now I am listening to Hudson jump in his crib, call his sissy to come rescue him from going to bed and blow spit bubbles at the same time. Nice, right? Happy Friday night to me. You would think a morning playdate and 4 hours at the pool (yes 4! He is overly obsessed and when have I ever said no to getting sun?!) would have worn him out.
Here are some pictures from our playdate this morning. Hudson and his friends were so happy to see Mr. Cow at North Hills. I think Hudson sat in his lap until the cow wanted to toss him aside.

Video of Hudson
This video makes me laugh for so many reasons.
Hudson's voice is so cute
The noise in the background is Jonathan playing alone with leggos
The camera is sideways and dark
Hudson loves to say he is 2.... we round up in this house.
But none the less, he says something to his grandparents....

Yawn...
Yawn, yawn, yawn. What a fun, fun eventful weekend. We had a 4 day weekend since Jon took time off. I already showed you the picture of Hudson chatting on the phone from Ciago's and the Lake Johnson pictures. Here are so more high lights
Haircut. This is a crucial thing for us. We like Hudson's hair to stay long and shaggy.
She did a phenomenal job!!!
Saturday Jonathan had a boys morning with him so I could run errands, start getting things for his birthday, figure out where to hide them and get some things done alone. This picture showed up on my phone. They went to Char Grill, my least favorite place. But Hudson looks so big sitting in the front seat.
Jonathan and I had a party to go to so Bebe came to entertain Hudson. I loved seeing pictures on my phone of them eating ice cream. They did so many fun things while we were away and it was such a big help to know how happy he was.
This Sunday morning we went and played soccer at the playground
And we capped off Sunday with a pool day
Perfect weekend! Which means tomorrow I will be cleaning up all the piles of laundry, dust, hairballs and toys up. Happy weekending.
