Jonathan took Friday off for a much needed family day. With traveling, being sick and so many parties lately, we have not had a lot of time for just the 3 of us. I look at WRAl Go Ask Mom all the time for fun things that we have never tried before. She wrote an article about the Lake Johnson splash pad and pool and it looked so cute.
I am not a fan of community pools. Call me a snob, call me a control freak, I just do not like them. But our pools certainly do not have a center like this. So after meeting some of my friends for North Hills open play, we headed on over to Lake Johnson pool.
To say that Hudson loved it is an understatement.
We got there around 9:30 and stayed until 11:45. We packed lunch, toys and lots of liquids. We were able to lay our towels right by the splash pad so we could see Hudson run around if we just wanted to sit there. He made some little friends, played catch with them and ran around filling up his bucket. It was only $1 for Hudson and $3 for each adult. It was so nice and enjoyable. Definitely somewhere I want to take him again!
