My favorite dress

My Emmy post yesterday made me think about my favorite dress. I wore this dress to our wedding party. I adored it. I wish I had a better photo. I hope to wear it again when we renew our vows in Bora Bora..... one can dream.

Are you watching The X Factor? I am so obsessed with Britney Spears in general so I am completely obsessed with a show that has Britney and Simon Cowell.

Speaking of TV, I also watched  Breaking Amish. Literally almost died. These people have never had running water, electricity, cars, radio, phones, a shower, dentist, etc. It was such an eye opener on how spoiled we are.

We have spent some time 4 wheeling..... in our yard. Hudson loves it.

Rest in Peace, Mimi. You were the best pet we ever had. (No offense to Sissy. She is just a tad needy)

 

For over a year you swam alone in your bowl, no whining, no back talking, no saying "mommy" 1,000 times a day. I will miss you. I am sorry it was my fault you died, I thought your water was too cold. You had a good life Mimi. We will miss you. Well, I will. No one else ever noticed you. Except my dad who always wondered how you were still alive.

Too cool

On the way to school yesterday (1st stop at Starbucks for Mommy's happy juice) Hudson said, "oh man, that sun is bright. It's in my eyes. Gotta get my shades." I started laughing and turned around to see this.

 

It must hurt to be that cool.

Mud Room

I have high hopes that one day we will have a mud room in our house. A place where we each have a spot to put our shoes, jackets, Hudson's book bag, my pocketbook, etc. That way they are not scattered all over the floor and kitchen. A girl can dream.

He was so happy, he literally ran into his classroom! What a great feeling. I pray he has another successful year! It is hard to believe he is in 3 year old preschool!

Running on Empty

Lately I feel like I am running on empty. Jon's travel season has begun, Hudson has kept me very busy and I have put myself on the back burner.

Preschool starts this week (insert the angels singing) and I am so looking forward to 12 hours a week to myself. Hudson thrives in school and I cannot wait to see everything that he learns this year.

I have fallen off the wagon with the healthy eating and workouts. I am hoping my shopping spree to Lululemon helps change that.

I have loved every minute of summer, but this mama is ready to get back to a routine!!!

Getting to know me

Random tidbits about me....

- I have extreme road rage. My sweet little boy has picked up on it and now yells "Gooooooo" when we are behind people.

- I want to pull my eyes out when I hear toenails/fingernails being clipped. Literally. Cannot. Deal.

- I live for fall so I can eat pumpkin food. Pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cream cheese. Drool.

- I do not like watching live TV.

- Everyday I look at Hudson's fish and think, "how in the world are you still alive?" Mimi will be 1 next week.

- I'm am addicted to Here comes Honey Boo Boo   Stop judging me. It's a for real hot mess.

- I called our insurance company to see if they covered botox. Sadly, they do not.

- The thought of mayonnaise makes me sick. I'm dry heaving as I type.

- I love my family!

Last week I stumbled over this show, Mighty Machines on Qubo. I always thought that was a Spanish channel. Anyways, um, this show is heaven for Hudson. It shows you how real machines and trucks work. I have never seen him sit still for 30 minutes. Heaven

After 5 very long days, Jonathan is home. He came home yesterday to find Hudson, Sissy and I curled up in Hudson's bed asleep. I asked him what time it was and almost died when he said 4. We had been asleep for 4 hours. God bless single mothers, I do not know how they do it.

Rain fun

Ah, 3 blogs from me in one day!!!!

I am not a fan of rain. I will cancel plans in a heart beat if it is raining. I love an excuse to stay dry, in pajamas and play inside.

This morning I set up a hopscotch for Hudson. He thought it was really fun and it gave us a reason to practice colors and numbers.

Then we decided to play a game. We put tupperware on the numbers, found 2 bouncy balls and tried to throw them in the tupperware. The first person to 30 points won.

Hudson won. He has a really good shot! There is always fun to be had when I am with this little man.
