Foofey's tricks

Hudson's elf, Foofey, is wild! He really does some fun tricks at night while we are all sleeping.


                        He brought in Charlotte, our rooster, from outside and put lights on her.

 

 

 

He used marshmallows for a bubble bath

                                                         
                                       He got caught in the angel. Hudson thought he was in timeout.

 

 

He used q-tips to make a snowflake

 

 

He went zip lining through the kitchen. And brought a candy cane.

 

We will be so sad to see Foofey leave next week.

Booty, booty, booty, booty rockin everywhere

Alright, that title was the closest I could get to a boot song. I am obsessed with boots. That is what I am asking Santa for.

The other day I held a funeral for my beloved Uggs. No really, I did. They had seen their last day and I was DEVASTATED. Truly.  Those boots have been with me for 7 years. We had some good times. A tear or two was shed. So I need new ones.

Getting ready for Santa

Hudson's letter to Santa has been mailed, he sat on Santa's lap and had a conversation about what tools and cars he needed....... he is so exited this year!

Jesus loves me this I know....

Hudson loves to talk and sing about Jesus. We do too. I was googling Bible books and children's books about Jesus earlier for Christmas gifts and came across this Bible

Elf on the Shelf

I was so excited when my sweet daddy bought Hudson the Elf on the Shelf. I thought for sure 3 1/2 was a great year to introduce this. Hudson has not used his listening ears lately so I thought this elf would work wonders.

Hudson found him when he got out of the bath tub last night.

We then went on to debate for 15 minutes why we could not name our Elf "Booger". That was fun. He finally decided he wanted to name him "Foofey." Clearly, naming something at that age is not a good idea.

When we woke up this morning the first thing he said was "Foofey flew away." But he had not. We found him coloring in the living room.

Hudson has been to timeout twice today for screaming/throwing things and both times he yelled, "Go tell Foofey to fly away."

Clearly, this is going to be a task!

Plumber problems

We are getting all of our bathroom pipes replaced today. On my free day! Hudson is at school for 4 hours. Meaning I get 4 hours of peace and quiet to do what I want. But no, not today. I am trapped at home with plumbers.

One of them just walked in on me lounged on the sofa, drinking coffee and reading People.com. He gave me a weird face. Dude, do not judge.

Hudson: "No. Just two dogs."

Wednesday thoughts

....... I wish my child would sleep through the night.......... darn cough!
I got in bed with him the other day to rub his back and woke up to a foot on my neck

....... We had our Church Directory pictures taken last night and I have not laughed that hard in a looooooooong time. It was like taking senior portraits all over again. We tried so hard to just do a family picture but the lady insisted we take solo ones as well (did she think I wanted a portrait of myself????) Jonathan's eyes were half closed in all of them, Hudson was yelling "apples" and I was trying so hard not to bust out laughing.


......... Hudson's new phrase is "I'm not joking!" Clearly he has learned this from me constantly saying, "Hudson, clean that up right now. I'm not joking" It is hilarious.

I love fall. One of our family traditions is going to Hill Ridge Farms

We had the best morning! I highly recommend this place!!!

 

We had the BEST time and Hudson has talked about it for 3 days. I would give anything to live on a farm!

 

I cannot stand it....

 

 

I cannot control myself. I am so deeply in love with this boy. He makes me laugh so hard. I would still hold him every second of the day if he would let me. He truly completes our life and has blessed up tremendously. I thank God every minute of the day for my boy!

I seriously LOVE Michael Strahan on Live with Kelly & Michael. He is adorable.

Hudson's class is making butter and biscuits this Friday.... guess which mom jumped at the chance to volunteer that day.....

I have been drinking way too many pumpkin spice lattes. I can tell I have gained weight. I saw it as a sign from God today when the lady at the Target Starbucks said they were out.

I survived 6 days husband free. My house did not.

Hudson had a date Friday night and I got so tickled watching him make his move
