14 months

Hudson,

Somehow you are already 14 months old. These months have flown by and I keep waiting for you to stop growing up so fast. You are such a little firecracker and so full of energy. You are so sweet and love us so much.

You are very hardheaded and love to throw a tantrum or whine if you do not get what you want right away. We are working on manners and patients but so far, you are winning. You love to see clean clothes folded nicely.... you always take everything out and throw it on the ground.

You love to play with us but you are also very independent. You love to read books, figure out puzzles, stack your blocks, sort your shapes and put stickers on paper.

You are completely OBSESSED with Bailey. You chase her all over the house, close her in closets and bathrooms, pull her tail, grab her legs, look in her ears, throw her toys at her and share your snacks with her. You are so lucky that she is so patient with you and always licks your face. She gets more laughter out of you than anyone else.

You are taking a few steps now on your own but you still love to crawl. You are so fast. You are the best thing in the world and you complete our family so perfectly.

Words & Phrases: "Eieioooo" (Old MacDonald), mama, dada, bay-bay (Bailey), Lu (Aunt Lulu), Cha-cha (What you 1st called Bailey but now you call a stuffed animal), moo, hey, hi, no,no, and you love to mimic the sounds of trains and emergency vehicles.

Tricks: you are starting to roar like a lion. You figured out how to pull Bailey's tail so she runs in a circle. You close all the doors when we walk into a room. You love to dance and move your hand like you are stirring a pot. You love to move your hands to "Itsy, bitsy spider". And you have almost perfected a somersault.

pulling her tail

Food: grilled cheese, peas, carrots, baked spaghetti, green beans, mac and cheese, fish, hush puppies, banana, grape jelly bread, pretzel crackers, goldfish, cheerios, Cinnamon toast, chicken, all cereals, pancakes, french toast, pineapple, oranges, kiwi, peaches, turkey and we are working on Popsicle's. You definitely do not like any food that you cannot feed to yourself. You have also learned how to feed yourself with a fork!

I thank God for you so many times a day. You are a true gift and we are so honored that God chose us to be your parents. We promise to do our best and to smother you with love.

Love,
Mama
