Walking/running

Over the past few weeks, Hudson has been taking a few steps at a time but today he took off running. I was shocked. This morning he went from one side of our house to another without stopping. Where did my baby go? Who is this tall child walking around my house? I was so proud of him that I swept him up and started crying. He hugged me for a minute and then pulled his head away and started clapping. I am so lucky that I am with him everyday and can witness all of his milestones.

We went to Jonathan's grandmothers house while our new floors were put in and Hudson took off walking there too. He has no fear and I love it. He is so fast and I am in awe at how big he looks to me now. As we were driving home, he fell asleep in his carseat with his blanky and puppy dog. As I looked at him through the rear view mirror with a tear in my eye I started to think about how fast he is growing up. He is a full toddler now.

Hudson fills my heart with such a warmth that I cannot even describe. I have loved every single day that I have been a mom. I have never been happier and I have never been more fulfilled. He has brought Jonathan and I closer and there are plenty of nights where we sit together, watch Hudson play and say outloud how lucky we are and how perfect he is.

A walking toddler is a lot different than a crawling baby but I love it! I am so excited to watch him zoom around our house.
