Gardening

I was so excited when we moved into our house last fall and I was able to start gardening. I have always dreamed of being able to go outside everyday and pick our homegrown vegetables for dinner.

We have a gigantic, old apple tree in the backyard and Hudson checks it everyday for apples. The blooms have started but no apples have sprouted yet.

I have been wondering what this weird bush in the front yard is and recently realized it is a blueberry bush! Score!!! I picked a few this morning for breakfast and they were so delicious. I cannot wait to make blueberry pancakes.

So far we have planted lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, sweet peppers, jalapenos, sweet peas, carrots, cucumbers, squash, parsley, basil and broccoli. Everything is really starting to grow. I also have a lemon tree that is growing inside.

I want to add a lot more garden beds and plant a lot more things. Jonathan laughs because I am so into it. Hudson is too. He helps me clean it and water it every day. He is so proud to tell me what everything is going to be and what he is going to eat first. I have no idea when I became so domestic but gardening really is a fun hobby!
