My whole world

Jonathan was home sick Monday and Hudson has had a chronic double ear infection for weeks (We go to the doctor this week to talk about getting tubes put in, please pray his ears are clear and we can avoid that process). They both were a tad fussy so they were sent to bed by nurse mommy. My heart literally stopped when I saw this. My whole world was at peace.

There are so many things I love about Jonathan but seeing him as a father is my favorite. Hudson adores his daddy. I will hug Hudson and say "you will always be mommy's baby" and he will say, "no, I am daddy's baby." They play so rough together. Wrestling, tackling each other.... Hudson does this with me but it is much better when he is head butting someone else. They could spend an entire day playing sports in the yard or mowing the grass together. They are the cutest pair.

I also love that when Jonathan tries to kiss me, Hudson moves his face away and says, "no, that's my mommy" and then kisses my face before Jonathan can. There is no bigger blessing than being a parent. There are many moments when you want to pull your hair out but then you look at their face and realize it is all worth it.

My 2 boys. My whole world.

*While they took a 3 hour nap, I ran to a local nursery to get more plants & bushes for our yard (I have become completely obsessed). I spent 2 hours planting over 50 things and when I showed Jonathan he vaguely looked and said, "that's nice." I am going to remember that the next time he drags me outside to show me how "perfectly" he mowed the grass.

Yesterday I went to check on my new petunia bed and realized that 4 of them have been dug up. What animal does that? I may be getting my bb gun out and shooting things!
