Slow-cooker lasagna

I know that for a holiday most people grill out, but we were a little lazy today. So instead I am in the process of slow cooker lasagna. The picture did not turn out as well as I had hoped but it sure smells yummy...

What you need:

1 lb. ground beef (I used turkey)

1 jar spaghetti sauce

1 cup water

1 container Ricotta cheese

1 pkg. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

1 egg

2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

6 lasagna noodles, uncooked

Brown meat in large skillet; drain.

Stir in spaghetti sauce and water.

Mix ricotta, 1.5 cups mozzarella, 2 Tbsp. Parmesan, egg and parsley in separate bowl.

Spoon 1 cup meat sauce into slow cooker; top with layers of noodles spit in half. Cover with some cheese mixture. Cover with 2 cups of the remaining meat sauce. Top with remaining noodles, broken to fit, cheese mixture and meat sauce.

Cover and cook on low for 4 - 6 hours.

Sprinkle with remaining cheeses.

Let stand, covered for 10 minutes or until melted.

Served with a salad and french bread, it is sure to be a hit with my boys!
